Don't be so smug about "gaming" the credit card companies by not carrying a balance that they can charge interest on. You're gaming the banks with that tactic. The credit card companies get their money directly from you when you make a purchase, in the form of a 3% - 4% card processing fee they charge the merchant. Who, of course, passes it on to you. If you hurt them financially, you can make that 3.5% - 4.5%.

Sucks, doesn't it?
