regardless of if you pay cash or via credit and paying via credit gives you protections that cash does not. SOME places (very few) give discounts for cash and in most states it's illegal for a business to charge you more simply because you are paying by cc.

What sucks is that identity fraud is basically allowed to exist by the banks giving out credit because they want it to be so easy and they pass their losses on to the high risk card holders who carry balances with interest rates that are obscene.

Apparently buy your "If you hurt them financially..." statement you mean the vendor.
