"liberal newspaper...releasing information to influence the vote on...the Patriot Act."

You Righties crack me up. Okay, try THIS on for size:

The NYT held this story for a year, and it could be argued that had they released it back then, Dubya's second term as dictator of the U.S would NOT have happened. So this "liberal newspaper" actually helped him hold onto the reins of power.

The Dubyacolytes act with such vindictiveness towards anyone who crosses them that I am not surprised the wimpy Democraps don't beat the drum to impeach him. After all, it was just recently that they rediscovered their spines after Senator Murtha, a indisputable war hero and hawk, said we needed to get out of Iraq.

As for this whole issue about the American government secretly spying on American citizens, I have only one thing to say:

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"* - Satires of Juvenal

When you turn over authority to someone else to protect you, how do you know that those people won't abuse you? Knowing how inept Dubya is (i.e. his admitted flawed reasons for sending us to war and his Air Force One drive by of New Orleans), and knowing what dirtbags Cheney, Libby and Rove are, are you really going to trust them to "protect" you?

* Who will guard the guards?
