Well said... and food for thought
I totaly agree!

Also what puppet government? If you came up with a design or product and sold the right to use it once to a company and they turn around and sell it to another comapny and another or replicated it for multiple use wouldn't you look to the govt to sue that company for whats rightfully yours?

Also if you will notice there is a EULA that you agree to, whether it be when you agreed to its terms during instalation on a PC or in a consoles case when you bought the game. Just look in the back of any game manual for any console, you will find an End User License Agreement (might be stated differently) that states if you don't agree to this "promptly return the product to the seller and that any use not expressed as proper be mailicious and subject to civil or legal ramifications"....just to quote one.

Granted we do live in a Capitalist society in which our economy and peoples jobs depend on the sale of goods or services in one way or another. If a company wants to bring it to the attention of the proper authorities that their product is being "pirated" or being used in any other way then deemed appropriate in the terms of your agreement. YOU have opened yourself to letter of the law in which you are now liable.

So my point: you don't like the terms then don't buy it. A company has the rights and can state any term it deems necessary to either negate liabilty or to protect that companies best interests. You stealing their game and not purchasing it is not in their interest and if you don't like them and the govt coming down on you with the heat ......then tough you brought it on yourself!

Don't know how you were brought up but to me that's fair if a company wants to follow suit and protect its interests no matter how much of a monopoly they may have. Stealing is stealing and so is piracy be it music or games.

I make a living to pay for these things, should you? Of course "period". I buy and pay for my milk, how bout you?

Granted its cool when people modify the're box but only to uncover what its potential maybe and maybe to better theyre knowledge or whatever floats theyre boat. But to steal a game where the developer and development team were overworked on and underpaid. Not buying that title may cause company X to squeeze profits more and possibly put some people out of work.

Keep that in mind when you are ripping a game or product. Its sad we live in a society that has become calous to these things in which we have become a bunch of internet cleptomaniacs trying to aquire anything and everything for free that to begin with wasn't.

Just my two-cents worth.....
