Few games are exclusive

90% of console games are available on all 3 consoles and about 70% of those have PC releases as well. You usually have 1 or 2 titles that signature titles for the console such as Halo for the X-Box or Mario for the Nintendo. I have PS2 but I'm not sure what thier title is, odd.

Also you have it close but not quite. Piracy doesn't directly hurt Microsoft. I don't know if you have ever written a game for the current X-Box but the fee to do so it extremely high. You have to licesnse you game to play on the X-Box. So Microsoft get's thier money up front. Pirating doesn't effect them here.

Where Piracy does affect them is when it make my venture unprofitable and I no longer put out game for the X-Box.

I looked into what it would take to put my collection simple fun games on the X-box. Well that's cost prohibitive at 8 million dollars. Not a problem for EA games but for a small time PC gamer it is. Just to get the X-Box dev kit costs $15,000 per workstation.
