"Now MS's response time in terms offering patches is a whole other discussion... BAD customer service!"

This is my major factor with them. Their patches come out, then either break something else or they don't come out at all. I see places like secunia reporting their vulns and yet we go months without patches. I understand that sometimes in order to fix a patch it may break other things, but it's been rediculous. Like the update roolup, it broke all the exchange 5.5 servers running on 2000, and yes there are still plenty of the 5.5 servers out there. I hate the fact that sometimes there are exploits in the wild, and MS drags their feet or don't even create a patch, just look for yourself on secunia, number among numbers of unpatched vulns just staring you in the face. I hate the fact that they only pay lip service to their customers, they say a patch is coming, and yet we are still waiting for plenty of patches. If they'd stop lying to us as people who buy their product and just come out with "we can't fix this problem without making 10 more", i think i'd have more respect for them. Instead we hear, a patch is coming, and it never does, they hope we'll just forget about it. I don't believe the numbers line at all, it's known how easy a target MS is, and yes numbers may have a small part to do with it, but it is not the only thing, the main thing is most home users know jack about computers and MS is only just now putting in things to protect those users. All this time and they've just let it happen, it will be a good while before the bad taste leaves the mouth.

As for PeterWeter, talk about hypocrit, he likes to banter on about how linux users try to deflect from the subject, then he goes and does the same thing, pot kettle black comes to mind. I use all OS's and support every single one of them, so I am not at all a open source shill, or an MS shill. I see the good in all of them, i make my living on all of them. I will admit one thing, most of my bread and butter comes from fixing MS's problems, and occasionally i get problems with macs and linux machines, but the majority plain and simple is with the Windows machines. I guess i should also mention that the majority of my clients are linux/mac shops, but i have a few clients that run purely windows, they are the ones i get the most calls from.
