Firefox, Netscape, IE... Does it matter anymore?
The Firefox alert is nothing new to any webcrawler. It's just like Microsoft's alerts about IE exploits. Whenever you go online, you open yourself to possible attacks via software that accesses the net, ie you web browsers. Any enterprising cyberpunk will eventualy find exploits in software that they can use against you. You have only two choices; invest in a good firewall, or pull the plug.
