Pretend like there are all these baddies that people need to be protected from, and then provide the "solutions" in the form of mega contracts to provide bomb detecting equipment, hazmat suits, security cameras, etc.

"Put responsibility in the hands of the user. Let them pay the price for their lack of willingness to protect themseleves. This is the way it is in all aspects of your life."

Totally agree. ENOUGH with all the nanny government and endless hand holding. Let people get romped, bankrupted, stabbed, shot, tazered. If people have any kind of head, they will learn and eventually adapt. Those that don't, deserve to perish.
Like my good friend George Carlin once said "the kid that swallows too many marbles doesn't grow up to have kids of his own!"
