But our thanks go out to Captain Obvious none-the-less!

...at how often people DON'T follow common sense rules though. Look at how many people get suckered into opening stuff that claims to be a clip from Paris Hilton's latest sexcapade.

Some people just refuse to see that something is obviously wrong with a video file that's 50 KB in size. That's not even enough for a header, let alone any video. Of course, they're technically challenged and don't know squat about file formats and such. They just see "Paris Hilton" and "Sex vid" in the same header and ASSUME they're going to see a clip of Hilton's finest getting an oil change...

The same goes for any number of other bits of social engineering that have been employed in recent viral and phishing outbreaks.

Yeah... The CIA/FBI/Homeland security is going to send me a questionaire because I visited an "illegal" web site. BZZZZT!! WRONG!! They're comin' after you - live and in person.
