L-Users And software Vulnerability

The only real protection agains this soet of user error is to have the system reset itself for every session, so any installed software just goes away the next time you login, but this is not likely to happen in a home user environment.
User intelligence has nothing to do with what OS you use. My wife an I have almost identical IQ scores, but she doesn't like using my Linux workstation just because she is unfamiliar with KDE, and has only ever used Windows, first PC was Windows, work uses Windows etc, so she pretty much sticks with that. She is an intelligent user, but would still fall prey to social hacks and viruses because she is not IT savvy.
I agree with the statement that savvy users are less likely to get affected, but even savvy users may have n00b's at home using the same PC's 8)
