We just don't have these problems with Linux

Thats right, with linux you have bigger problems. Lets see here, trying to find the source code, hoping the download link still works, compiling it and hoping the build actually completes without erroring. Spending hours trying to resolve an issue on IRC and message boards. Spending even more hours on configuration files trying to get them to do what you want. Kernel panics, seg faults, root kits...

Lets see the problems on windows, virus and spyware. A 5 minute scan cleans it up, and maybe possibly and not likely but have to reboot which is just another 2 minutes. So your looking at 7 minutes compared to 24 hours for linux. So looking at these facts, I guess people are better off using Windows over linux. Wow. I amaze myself sometimes.
