I'm on Windows, and still no problem
By using just a little common wisdom (an up to date AV, using a little program called dropmyrights to run internet facing programs with reduced rights, not accepting active content) I not only miss having these problems, but also have all the benefits of running Window?s (driver support, easy install of Applications, ect).
If you?re going to take the time and effort to learn and deal with Linux?s short comings, you might as well take less time and effort to learn a little about locking down a Window?s box. Much easier in the short and long run.
