Let's all play "Spot The Liar"
C'mon, it's an easy game:

---Names on the "no-fly" list, however, are unilaterally barred from flying. The office said it hasn't been informed of any cases where people have disputed placement on the "no-fly" list.---

Hmmm, funny, I guess the office doesn't read the newspaper:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A17073-2004Aug19.html

U.S. Sen. Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy said yesterday that he was stopped and questioned at airports on the East Coast five times in March because his name appeared on the government's secret "no-fly" list.

This, like nearly every security measure taken at airports, is a complete waste of time and money. Any terrorist will simply get a fake ID. If my 15 year old cousin can get one, I'm sure bin Laden can get one too. This is a joke, and is another example of "security theater", making a gesture to help people think they're safe, but that serves no useful purpose.

There have been two things done that make any difference as far as airport security:
1) reinforcing cockpit doors
2) letting people know that they should not cooperate with hijackers and should resist them
