Yours as well may be a typical response perhaps...
Respectfully I disagree with some of your statement. Macs may
be more expensive but compared to a comparably equipped
Dell, Gateway and the like they're equally priced; and the Mac
has features those others don't have. Remember a BMW can be
more expensive than a Chevy or a Yugo does that make the
Chevy or Yugo better?

As for software being sub par please recall for many years, even
prior to Windows, MS made Office for the Mac that even PC
magazines report is better than Office on Windows. Also, are you
saying Adobe, Macromedia etc. are sub par on the Mac? How
about Final Cut Pro, Aperture, iWork and iLife software selection
on the Mac is better than many of like programs on Windows.

As for that 90 percent, people don't purchase Windows they
purchase hardware; that hardware has a contract with MS to
install Windows. If you recall the DOJ had something to say
about that (the way MS treated hardware venders). We could go
on but I'll let others more eloquent jump in.

Don't diss the Mac; remember first on the Mac, 3.5 floppy, WiFi,
USB, mouse, GUI and the list goes on. Even after 15 years using
and supporting MS I don't diss Windows however, I don't like it
and quit using it.
