"If I were a juror..."
And as soon as you were found to be technically proficient, you would have been dismissed during the selection process. They generally don't want "experts" in the jury pool.

I've been summoned as a candidate numerous times to county and federal court.

Several things in my life have consistently caused dismissal: I was an EMT, albeit over twenty years ago, dismissing me from medically related issues, having taught as a "student professor" (not a TA), and having worked in IS in a hospital, and having learned to read at an early age (just before two). On the last issue, I'm a voracious reader, and whilst the case may have not been covered in any periodicals (newspapers - six/day or large numbers of magazines), having read things such as Scientific American, MIT's Technology Review, etc. at an early age makes me at least conversationally proficient in a lot of subject areas.

All of this has forced me out of every jury pool I've been summoned to as a candidate, despite my decision to *want* to participate (everyone seems to try to get out of jury duty) and I don't volunteer a lot of information which might give me the boot. I want them to have to dig to give me the heave ho because I want to stay. In one case, I was one of the original twelve seated and the last of that group to leave, after five hours of questions sans breaks, but they did bring in punch & cookies.

If one side or the other knows they've got a shakey case, they may not want you on the jury because you're going to see the issues to several decimal places where your peers may not even see the correct integer. (think of this metaphor carefully) This is even if the case isn't IS-related. And if it is IS-related, it may make them all the more motivated to get your back end out of that chair.
