Trojan Horse rides on unpatched IE flaw...and more
Well, we're basically not at risk because we use Firefox, Netscape and Opera and seldom use IE except on known safe sites just to check the google rating. Now that Google has made a Firefox toolbar that use is diminishing.

But what keeps us on Windows instead of Linux is not the $200 per computer added expense of switching the O/S. It's the $5,000 to $10,000 per computer cost of software replacement involved in the switch. Plus the loss of all those programs which have not yet been written to work on Linux.

Plus patching all the flaws in the Linux system? Show me the small business (we have 5 computers on line) that can afford a $26,000 to $50,000 software switch just because it might be a little safer? Its much easier to simply limit the use of IE, thus eliminating the "trojan/phishing back door" exploitation possibility.

No open door, no major problem. Keep 4 different anti-spyware programs and a good, solid anti-virus running, waste an hour twice a week to check our systems, and avoid spending tons of money we don't have. Also, we get to cuss Bill Gates every time we run the MS anti-spyware program, find nothing, then run the others and pick up 25 to 50 malicious cookies or codes from each of them.
