Symantec scraps Sygate consumer firewall

Symantec... BRING IT BACK!

I was on hold this morning for 20 minutes just to get my ID reset for the Sygate forums. That was 4 hours ago, and I still can't get it.

I'm a small business owner and I'v used SPF-Pro on my webservers for 5 years now, and it works great! Until I had a disk crash. I'm trying to restore from backups, but if it doesn't work right, I'm going to have to change products.

Talking to Symantec people, they say use the Norton Personal Firewall 2006. Minor detail... it won't run on a server. In fact, it won't even install. To run on a server, I need to spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. I can't afford that.

SPF-Pro was and is the greatest thing since sliced bread for people that don't have bags of cash laying around.

Symantec... If you really want to regain and grow market share, bring back SPF and SPF-Pro. Oh, and do it a reasonable prices.
