Ok, so then they should have rights to restrict what you can do on your pc?
I'm sorry.. but that last part of "If the OS does not allow..." that's the exact mentatlity microsoft wants people to take..

In the past few days I've been excessively innundated by such stupidity.. sorry but that is EXACTLY what your comment is.. stupidity at its core..

I, being a 35 year old male in avg health sound mind and specific need, can no longer walk into a Price/Costco store in virginia, and by more than one product with Psuedoephedrine in it.

The idea behind such stupidity?.. that kids can't buy a bunch of it, take it and act stupid (get high).

However why is this law so stupid? I can walk down to the strip mall, where there is a Rite-Aide on one side, CVS on the other, a Foodlion next door, and a block down a Martin's Grocery store.... and I could buy one box of the tainted product from each location.... so why must I be restricted from buying Dayquil, Nyquil, and standard Sudafed all at once..


Back to Microsoft and their sh*t for an os..

by making the software more restrictive, it might help stop stupid people from doing stupid things.. sure.. however for those of us that have taken the time to learn how to properly use their PC's within a reasonable amount of certainty, why should *I* not be allowed to send myself a zip file? Why should *I* not be allowed to send a copy of hj-join.exe to myself from office to home or vice versa....

Why should any of us be restricted from properly using our pc, because one or two amongst us (or more like the infected 11 million) can't get it through their stupid heads that they've been told DON'T OPEN THINGS YOU ARE NOT EXECTING...

I have two jobs.. in my day job.. THREE MANAGERS infected themselves despite repeated warnings not to open strange things, not to take actions with email that seems out of the ordinary.. that they should question first, and seek supports' assistance on anything out of the ordinary...

but NO.. these MANAGERS had to double click the f**king icon because they didn't think any thing of it.. until they suddenly started having problems because their machine got sluggish..

its not that the OS is so much to blame in this latest virus.. its the people that opened it.

This last worm did NOTHING to really exploit any of the gaping holes that microsoft left.. other than the gob behind the keyboard.. the one that despite hearing the news, being told by the computer geek, or getting the word from a friend that was previously stupid.. its that gaping idiot amongst us all that this worm targeted.. and it proved that man is just as stupid as it ever was.


Oh and on similar notes.. I don't want microsoft to be made accountable for human error, I want them accountable for their crappy code... 1 human 1 error, 2 humans 3/4ths of one error, 3 humans their code should have only half an error.. 4 humans.. should have eliminated all the bugs in the code.. if not.. then microsoft should have fired the team long ago!

And lastly.. I don't want governers in my automobile that react to the posted speed limit signs, I don't want cell phones that can autonomously show its location regardless of its owner's desires, I don't want bundled application ware and spy ware and everything that comes with it.. I want simplicity and cleanliness... I'm in control... don't take it from me.
