Hacker Schools
For the past couple of years I have noticed periods of activity on my broadband Internet connection, as well as on my hosted websites that seem to indicate both Chinese and more recently Korean points of origin. The periods of activity are I look at as "Hacker class is in session." Most attempts are unsuccessful as far as I know. So this is not News to me at all. I am by no means any kind of security expert or hacker myself. Most folks I have talked to about it say it is all pretty normal.

Of course the extreme level of sophistication used to break into Govt. systems has to be learned and sanctioned at some High level with impunity. Especially in countries that actively censor their general network connections these attacks show me in a crude way that I have been somewhat right in assuming what I experienced as the training exercises for something on a larger scale.

I know the US has these these kinds of strategies and tactics as well. In fact I almost would assume that in the case presented that with seeming knowledge of the number of attackers the attack was expected, and allowed to progress. That the specs and software were part of a Honey Pot, look like the real thing, or was the real thing from a few years ago.

As well I think this story is a disinformation "Kudos" to the hackers. Get them all pumped up thinking they got the real thing, so they try again, meanwhile we learn about them more.

Eh, it is all the spy games they teach in spy school, and Hacker Schools are relatively the newest course curriculum.
