last week a village was washed away in nepal
when a glacial lake burst it's banks.
There are thousands of similar glacial lakes in the same state. There is a photo of Sherpa Tensing in the 1950s was standing on a glacier near everest. The glacier is now 3 miles away.
Global warming is happening, and it is severe.

Interestingly the village being washed away didn't make mainstream news! Why? Perhaps until the west sees terrible effects of global change, nothing will happen.

The effect of human input in accelerating the natural process of global change is unclear, however the threat to human life is enormous.

The melt waters from the himalayas give billions fresh water in asia. If all the ice melts, and there no longer is melt water, then asia has no water, therefore billions die.

The argument over whether global warming is natural, and to what extent human input affects this is irrelevant. We need to plan for the effects.

I think biodiesel production could allow humans to for the first time control and stop global warming, and therefore save billions of lives.
This is far more important than a miniscule risk of terrorism in my opinion.
