Why is China a threat?
I mean, the US has had no qualms giving China free transport, education of our language and customs, our manufacturing base, our technological base...

The US certainly didn't seem to mind when it was revealed that China's piracy problem pertains to only 90% of the software they use... (and note how all of these antipiracy measures haven't done anything about it... but that must be a sheer coincidence to the fact we hire the same folks for pennies on the dollar to write up the antipiracy measures, so of course they won't write in loopholes so they can continue helpin' themselves, right??)

I truly don't see where the threat is. If the US can do all of those nice things for the Chinese where it won't be bothered to help its own citizens, everybody's just paranoid for no reason at all. China must be the best friend anybody could have. Right? Last I recall, you help friends and compel your enemies to beg at your feet once you make them destitute or dead (though when dead, it's hard to beg...). So how has China ever BEEN an enemy of ours over the last 25~30 years? Judging by real life actions, I'd be surprised if they weren't our best friends!

Of course, China also holds a boatload of our national debt, which at the last time I checked was only $8 trillion. (So does Saudi Arabia) And nobody seems to care about that either... Maybe that's why China is our friend?

So where am I wrong?

I'll let you decide what is serious and what is sarcastic. I wouldn't know anymore.
