Response to iPod arrogance
I'm forced to use iTunes because the two biggest record
companies in the world, EMI & Sony, have chosen to lock out the
predominate personal musical player on the market by their CD
copy-protection practices. I would much prefer to purchase a
CD, import said CD into my computer & iPod in higher quality
audio settings, the copy protection prevents me from doing this.
So if I really desire that specific CD, I'm now forced to use the
iTunes music store which provides downloads in audio quality
that is adequate, but I would like better. The record companies
in their wisdowm have contractually denied Apple/iTunes to
provide a CD or close to CD quality downloads. The
compatibility statement is true, but again the predominant mp3
player on the market is left out in the cold.
