Impossible to say!
It appears Sony is currently admitting to about 50 titles infected with the rootkit, but is Sony the only company involved? It's easy enough to forbid certain titles but difficult to enforce and impossible to know in advance *every* potentially infected title.

Further, despite Sony's assurance that the problem is limited to Windows computers, Mac users have indicated there's a separate piece of malware on the Sony (and other?) CDs which apparently gets its hooks into the Mac kernel.

For the moment I'm disabling the CD drives in all non-Linux computers here, but in the long run it's going to be necessary to make such egregious DRM schemes illegal.
