Welcome to the club.
---Also, I think SCO is right. If it was their code, then they deserve to be paid for the lost revenue they have endured from it. ---

Welcome to the club. That makes Darl, his brother, Stowell and now you. A very exclusive club. Four members.

Being a member in such and exclusive club I am wondering if you have some inside info concerning the alleged copyright infringement claims, especially concerning Linux kernel 2.4.

You should be aware that a copyright holder has three years to bring an action against someone for copyright infringement. Kernel 2.4 was released on January 4, 2001. That is over three years. My question is: Why has SCO been beating their chest and firing off press releases for the past year instead of bringing an action against someone? Surely they knew about the statute. Instead of bringing an action against someone they just made a lot of noise and let the statue slip by. Does this sound like someone that has a case? It simply does not make sense. Please explain. Would you let the statute slip by? I know I wouldn't if I had a case.

Your thoughts?

---If Apache is so good why is it brought down? Plus, they are running FreeBSD.---

When you learn something about networking and what a DDOS attack is you will understand. If not, then I am certain someone will explain it to you, after you learn basic networking. In the meantime don't take any jobs as a systems admin.

The most likely scenario here, IMO, is SCO took their network offline before this started. Since they do not now have, nor did they ever have, a case for copyright infringement the only thing left is a media blitz aimed at the more guillible among us. SCO is attempting to cast themselves as a victim to win sympathy. Poor babies! It seems to be working. There is no evidence this was started by an OSS supporter but, as SCO knows, there will always be believers. The evidence points more to an MS developer. Maybe MS was correct when they said revealing their code would endanger national security. Isn't Russia one of the countries that took a peek at MS code? A virus this sophisticated could have been written by an MS developer only. I've never seen an MS shill that let the facts or the evidence stop them. Why should this be any different?

I see why PT Barnum was so successful. SCO simply follows his proven methods.

---The virus writers should be given 20 years in prison with no parole! ---

Id10tic solutions will bring on even more vicious attacks. There are, however, other facts to consider. With the degree of contributory negligence MS must share for pushing such an unsecure system onto the public don't you think they should share that jail cell? MS knows it's software is inherently unsecure. That makes them accomplices to any crime.
