broken software == broken security
The software that requires admin rights to run is broken. The only software that might need admin rights are admin type programs, and those should never be run under a normal user account, but under a specific account for a user created to let them do just that one thing. And they shouldn't be playing music or quake or whatever when logged in as that user.

A user application, whether for windows, mac, linux or bsd, that requires a user to be logged in as admin or root is broken, period. Contact the people who wrote it and demand that they fix it.
