I'm sorry, but DRM should be completely illegal. The recording comanies do not act to replace your CDs and tapes that are damaged or stolen, so I don't believe that they should gripe about someone who does copy their CDs. If they want to use DRM, then they should enable buyers to get free replacements , and I mean totally free, no S&H charges, no media charges, TOTALLY FREE replacements for the lifetime of the buyer.
Otherwise, it's not even moral to expect someone to not make backup copies of what they own. And I say this as a person who has had thousands of dollars worth of music in different formats (CD, cassette, and even LP) stolen from myself.
