It's about the money - - -
Of course it's about the money. Those who illegally copy CDs don't care at all about this DRM scheme.
The thing that is particularly offensive about this is that SonyBMG is punishing customers who LEGALLY buy the CD and only want the convenience of having an MP3 on their personal machine, or a duplicate for the car, so that after it gets trashed from mishandling, won't cost additional $$s.
I for one, have already decided that any new Sony products will NOT be found in my home, car, PC, wherever. I had loved some of their old products, and that which I currently have will die a natural death, with replacement by another company. Period. Nada. No more.
Sony - you made your choice, and I've made mine.
