Boycott
I have to agree that the sharing of copyrighted matrials on P2Ps should be illegal, such as copying CDs for your friends with or without a PC is. The fine for filesharing is outragious and unbelievable. I can not see how P2P networks are the blame, nor can I see how the RIAA backed corperations are getting away with treating every customer like a criminal BEFORE we have even done anything.
Any programing that is installed on a PC WITHOUT the PC owners concent or knowledge should be declared SPYWARE, MALWARE and a CRIME punishable with imprisonment. This includes Sony's anti-copy software as well as spamware from visiting the "wrong" site.
The only way I listen to music is thur my PC with Winamp. My 5.1 surround sound card is plugged into two separate 1500watt stereo ampifiers for a truely digital subwoofer. My CDs remain hidden from my 5yr old son's hands, and I do not fileshare. If I can not copy it, I will not buy it.
I will never buy another Sony CD again
