The issue here is ...

When an article about MS security vunerabilities shows up, there are always a handful of people who urge people to switch to their OS of choice, because their OS of choice doesn't have security issues that Windows has.
I think this lulls people who actually do switch into a false sense of security - many of them probably don't install security updates because they believe themselves to be invunerable, since they don't use Windows.

My prediction is that there will one day be a major worm outbreak on either Linux and/or Mac OSX. And when it happens, a lot of people are going to be caught with their pants down; they're like people on the Titanic who swore it could never sink. But one day, the ship is going to sink, and you will see them go down screaming.

Another thing - if the masses were to switch to Linux or OSX, since these are the same people that will run/click on/do anything that promises them nude pics of J-Lo or more smilies for their IM programs, are you so naive to think that security would not be a bigger problem than it is now?
