If I am reading this correctly MS is going to keep this as a free app. I must say I install the MS Antispyware beta on almost every machine I work on. I find it to be very good in protecting against spyware threats. It is good that Microsoft is taking the steps to provide the tools to its customers to help prevent these malicious threats. Whether or not people choose to use it is a different story. In this day and age I still find people do not use the tools that are out there. I would say about 2/3's of the computers I work on DO NOT have antivirus or have expired antivirus.
