- The alternative
- When talking av software, they have to incorporate some root-kit type behavior in order to prevent being killed by a virus. Its back to the old adage "you have to trust someone". The only alternative is to write your own antivirus...which is not likely to work as well. I think root-kit behavior in antivirus software is actually legit, whereas it is certainly not legit in the case of DRM.
