network security in future tense...

the social aspect of security, yes, will remain relevent until high-end pbx systems come down in price and voice<->text technology improves..

one aspect of what i forsee things becoming, is the concept of old attacks becoming re-invented into new attacks. a subtle modification of concept (not the same for code) can yield unprecidented results.

for example, combine the birthday attack with bio-encrypted data. Mr. Mitnick would smile at this point.
