Sony CD protection sparks security concerns

Where was Sony's CTO?

The two questions I would like to ask, among many others
include: (1) was it a business decision to overrule Sony's CTO
and CPO, or does Sony have inept technology and privacy
professionals whose opinions are not valued by senior
management, and (2) why didn't Sony do any testing that would
have given them a clue what the likely outcome of their business
decisions would hav been. Incredibile! Add me to the list of
consumers who are going to avoid buying Sony products
henceforth.
