Good point...
That's definately something I never understood. The lack of mp3 playing ability literally decimated their mp3 player in the marketspace. I can't imagine the hundreds of thousands of dollars that decision cost Sony...and then they kept repeating the same mistake until recently...but now, of course, it's too late.
