Greed and stupidity a dangerous mix

And nothing illustrates that better than this incident.

It's a PR nightmare, sales will suffer, it won't stop real pirates from making copies and in the end it's the artist that takes it in the shorts.

If Sony had taken a fraction of the effort they've put into copy thwarting technology and put it into treating their artists better and producing better product, their sales would be through the roof.

Sad how greed obscures good business decisions. This whole copy protection scheme has set Sony at war with their customers. There are no winners in train wrecks.
