security and symantex, de-facto via acquititions...
off the top of my head, there is one other company which tends to assure its market share by acquiring other corporations that can help streamline/maintain their product/service portfolio. they're called Microsoft. Give birth to another over complicated ultra-mega conglomerate.

I ask, is there a point where a corporation size inadvertantly messes with the security softwares ability to defend its customers? Symantec has had its share of published security vulnerabilities.

Other vendors are easily breaking into the market.
google this term: 'related:www.f-secure.com'

Is Symantec looking to purchase all of them, or rip of those that they can, and silence the rest with acquisitions.

Patent your ideas before Symantec does it for you.

Seriously...
