Also, certain video links (porn mostly) do not launch properly.

You're probably talking about .WMV files not launching properly from a link on a Web page. This is caused by the Webmaster not properly specifying the MIME type. IE will work around the improperly spec'd resource...other browsers expect things to be done properly. No real fix here, and as the .WMV format seems to be losing out to the DivX .AVI format, you'll see less and less of this problem as time goes on.

A good plugin to get for Mozilla:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/
Somewhere in this area, you can get the QuickTime plugin for Mozilla and play multimedia content directly in a Web page rather than having to launch an external media player.
