Yeah, think it's your settings
Just pulled up a Mapquest map, clicked "Print," got a new rendition, clicked "Send to printer." Result looks fine.

I'm using Netscape 7.1, which is a derivative of some earlier Moz (maybe 1.4), so Moz should work fine.
