That's not how the vulnerbility works. It works by telling you that the download is a MP3 file for example but in reality it's an exe. So when you click OK to run it thinking you will hear some tunes you get the malicious code instead. You can save yourself hassles by clicking "save source as" and saving the file to disk then you will see what it really is.
