Find out who the bad guys are...
Rather than everybody (individuals and IT Depts.) paying continually (mega$ cummulatively) for anti-virus, anti-worm, and anti-*.* safeguards and services, why don't we get rid of the web's anonymity crap and find out where these hackers are located and prosecute them with criminal and civil penalties. We all transact our daily business on the web with plenty of linkages to who we are through cookies, credit card nos., email accounts, user names, etc. We are all captured on hidden video cameras everyday in stores and on streets. It should only be the criminal element that wants total anonymity so they cannot be held accountable for their actions. The rest of us do our business legally and can stand any agency's close scrutiny. Pretty soon we will have a national ID system involving digital finger prints, eye scans, SSN's, etc. for the sake of National Security. Why should anybody doing legitimate things need to be anonymous on the web? Let's resurrect the CPU ID system. Let's eliminate anonymous servers and maintain a trace log for all web messages and business. Let's get smarter than the hackers, find out who they are, and make them pay. I would like to see the age of virus and worm infections, denial of service attacks, etc. put into the past for good.
