- They are probably allready doing that

The internet is not a private network at any level. When you browse around, send emails, and request data to be sent to your PC, you are in a public venue. It's basically the same as when you are walking down the street and shouting at the guy right next to you the whole time, and then turning around and having the expectation of "privacy" to boot. Can't have it both ways. When you are in a public place, you are giving up some privacy. On the internet, the idea of privacy is laughable. Trust is probably a better word. I can trust some websites with my credit card information and with my email address. Other times, I don't even want to click on anything that just popped up ("Do you want www.xyz.com to be your homepage? Just click YES").
I don't think that computer crime and "terrorism" are the same thing. I think we are labeling a lot of things terrorism these days, and 1/2 of it probably is as much an act of terror as parking in the wrong spot. Given enough time, most of us Americans will be given "speeding terrorism" tickets I guess..... - Posted by: rock06r Posted on: 02/01/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
