Wait, so people break the law and "steal" your computer, but it's Microsoft's fault? What, you are going to blame the door company but not either your security company, the locksmith, or the burgler just because you left the door unlocked?

Get a firewall. Get antivirus. Run as non-admin. Be selective about which executables you choose to run.

Enron is the wrong analogy. Microsoft did not plant the trojans. Someone else broke the law and broke into your computer to do so. Should they make Windows more secure? Yes. That would be Vista. Should they do more to stop trojans and viruses? Yes, that would be OneCare. But just as you don't leave your keys in your car and walk away with the doors unlocked, so should you not simply leave your computer (no matter what OS you run) open.
