Re:How's that again?: As a Storage Architect for a company that uses or has used many of the products you speak of, let me tell you that the norm is much closer to what the author describes than your story. I am sure there are success stories out there. I hear them every time a vendor wants to sell me a product. You want to know what kind of confidence they have? Ask them just once to garentee the performance of their product. Back it with a monetary award for failure.
