Well, I have never used Symantech or any other anti-virus s/w, EVER. I NEVER had problems either.
I am just using UNIX.
Have courage people. Its only an endless cycle of klunky, ineffective repatching and a cash hemorage for all this 3rd part s/w. Just keep youe faith in the promises of MS for "Trustworthy Computing" and MVPs and LongHorn and office with XML and DRM and all these crap. Its good stuff.
