- What planet have you been living on ?
-
I stopped reading your message right after you mentioned that the US and Hussein were "bosom buddies." Right then, I knew that you were full of bunk.
I remember YEARS where UN Weapons Inspectors were thwarted and threatened and condescended to during WORLD-SANCTIONED Weapons Inspections. Iraq did not cooperate IN THE LEAST and deserved to not be trusted.
Hussein NEVER respected nor befriended America.
How can you even remotely believe that the US and Iraq were bosom buddies in the last 10 years ?
Besides, while in Iraq, American soldiers have not engaged unless engaged upon - they have not attacked anyone in Iraq without provocation. Our being there makes the WORLD a safer place and as soon as a stable government is set up, our presence will no longer be necessary.
Iraq is nothing but a terrorist breeding ground right now and these evil monsters need to be dealt with. After September 11, 2001, it became "The World against Terrorism" no matter WHERE they are. The US is leading a proactive campaign against the evil of terrorism.
If these nice people of the Middle East would relax, become non-threatening, we would have no reason to be there, and our soldiers would come home, and the monster, Hussein, would be tried for the barbarities he himself has committed against humanity. He is responsible for over 1 million deaths.... what else do you need to know ?
Now, I am not in favor of losing my civil liberties and I do not want the state to have acces to all my stuff because I would then have to place trust in the goverment officials that are monitoring everyone.
It is easy enough to misconstrue context over an e-mail - what makes me feel so comfortable that they are smart enough to distinguish a joke from a terrorist ? Nothing.
I somewhat agree with you on the civil liberties part, however, these people in the Middle East are not at all innocent in the very least from being potential threats to the world.
I sincerely hope that US Forces totally extinguish the stench of terrorism for good. - Posted by: bravescott@... Posted on: 10/25/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
