Get a grip please

That's a very stupid suggestion. Because a OS provider can not seem to get his act right we have to pay for government to take charge? Any idea what something like that would cost? You are aware that taxes will have to pay for something like that.

Besides people are responsible for there own systems. I feel ISP's should be allowed to disconnect PC's that are found to be spreading a virus for wich a security patch was issued. If someone can't be bothered to keep his pc safe he has no buisiness on the net. Furthermore let's keep things in perspective. If you want to make this more effective make sure the creators of the unsafe OS become liable for the damage there product causes.If it takes them six months to patch a known security hole they should be liable for any damage caused in those six months. After that the pc owner is liable because he should have patched his PC.

I think it is strange a car manufacturer or some other appliance maker is liable for what he produces and software makers are not.
