Which is why
I don't drive unless really needed.
Don't own a cell phone.
Am not signed up for "club" cards with stores.
And whenever possible I pay with cash.

It does seem to have reduced the amount of junk mail I receive in my mail box (makes the wife and I both very happy!) which in turn make life a bit more tolerable.

As for computing... cookies are only allowed from specific sites otherwise unless I really need to go there, it's not worth the hassle.

Using a secure system / set-up goes a long way as does using good surfing habits and common sense.
