Don't thanks me, with a name like yours I would
be doing you a favor if I shot you.

?I tell you, If MS released monster patches like these with so many critical security issues, we would never hear the end of it. Any fanboi who thinks OS X is secure needs a serious reality check. Apple releases MORE fixes for critical vulnerabilities than MS does. But try to get that though a Klooless Fanboi's head. Good luck...?

Microsoft does issue large patches, so you obviously are clueless about the patching process period. Many times they will roll several critical and serious patches as well as service packs into one package.

The number of patches is moot compared to the number of compromised systems. That is what counts in the end. Another thing, at least Macintosh is being proactive instead of reactive to security issues as well as their consumer base. More than I or anyone else with half a brain can say for Microsoft.

?Oh, btw, I also haven't had any security problems with Windows (since I have Windows set up to stay up to date with security patches automatically). No spyware. No viruses. No worms. So what does that tell you? How are you "better off" than I am, security wise??

Well first I am a Linux user not an Apple or Microsoft user, so that puts me 4 levels above you as a Windows user and on par with most Apple users. Our security model is better from the ground up. If you knew anything at all about Unix and how it is designed to operate you would then know how we are better off security-wise. Next on the list is the fact that we do not have to spend time with scanning for virus's, adware or spyware. This in of itself is another way we are better off. Less time invested in maintaining a system we can just use.

As for your ability to keep a Windows box clean, good on you, you are one of a few. There are countless millions that through their naivete and piss poor OS design have been compromised by all sorts of nastiness. I know, I have a full time career fixing these machines and training the users. Where I can I move them to Apple or Linux and where I can't I educate. Either way Microsoft has been a nice source of income due to it piss poor design and security implementations.

?Here's a clue: There's difference between "secure" and "safe". Statistically your data on your system might be "safer" than data on my system, but that is not because your system is more "secure". It is just less hacked. And that is no reason to pat yourself on the back.?

Wrong bucko, again you do not seem to understand the Unix way of security. As for less hacked, again I think you are really confused. Hacking is when someone is actively working to compromise your system by breaking in. And generally they don't want you to know they are in there. Windows on the other hand is the most infected system on the planet. Compared to all the other operating systems, including the venerable Unix, the Microsoft platform has far more self propagating worms and virus's and infections than any other system... even if you combined them. Now if you want to compare systems being hacked, the *nix's are always under attack. They are the crown jewel of hacking achievement. Windows... not even worth bragging about anymore.

?FireFox's is falling apart as we speak because of this very same reason. Seems 10% market share is the magic number to get the attention of the hackers. Don't worry, Apple is incapable of getting anything even resembling 10% marketshare, so your make-believe "secure" world is safe for now.?

Actually you are wrong again. Firefox is holding up quite well. Flaws have been found and fixed. Not one compromise to date. Better than Internet Explorer. Same is true for Linux and Macintosh. Flaws are found but compromises have not been documented due to these reported and rapidly patched flaws.

?Funny how I am labeled a "troll" when every Apple Fanboy is making the exact same arguments, but from the other side of the fence. LOL.?

No you are labeled a troll because you are one. You spout mis-information and ignorance then when confronted you get all pouty and tell people to stop picking on you. I know you cried momma a couple times when I biatch slapped you on these boards.
