Defending Apple

"Here's a clue: There's difference between "secure" and "safe". Statistically your data on your system might be "safer" than data on my system, but that is not because your system is more "secure". It is just less hacked."

Actually, that is my main point. No-one is arguing that is is less *hacked*. The problem is that the Klooless Apple Fanboys think it is hacked less because it is more secure, but if you look at the number and severity of holes being patched by Apple compared to MS, then it certainly isn't more "secure". Less hacked, sure, I agree 100%. There's a huge difference, but unfortunately that goes over the head of your typical Apple Fanboy.

What has that got to do with "secure"? It is unsafe, but does not indicate how "secure" it is.

Let me give my own house analogy:

My house has never been broken into, yet the bank 3 blocks away have been broken into 3 times in the last year. Which one is more secure? In which one is my money more safe? See, you can be secure without being safe, and you can be safe without being secure. Right now OS X is safe, but certainly not secure (see eye-popping list of critical vulnerabilities being fixed monthly by Apple).

Oracle had the same delusion that they were "Unbreakable". FireFox had the same delusion that they were a "secure" alternative. Apple feeds it's lemmings with the same delusion of false "security".

They say the tallest trees catches the most wind. Conversely it's true that the shrubs on the ground get the least amount of wind.

It amazes me that Apple can release yet another doozy of a patch and Apple lemmings are STILL defending them. It is just such a gooood patch....
