How about taking that same magazine and making photocopies of an article or two and passing them to your class mates or friends. How is that any different than loaning your install CD to someone? Your lawnmower, your car? Surely you have borrowed something from someone.

Face it, right now businesses have more rights then consumers. Their calculations of lost revenue are completely bogus. It is a simple fact that a person that borrowed a copy of something is not a lost sale, how can a company claim that the person was ever going to buy it in the first place? The RIAA claims that the gigabytes being traded online are all lost sales, it is the most rediculous argument ever made. If my friend lets me share his corvette when he isn't using it, is that a lost sale for chevrolet? I mean it is idiotic that people are buying this reasoning. The consumer is being RAPED and our government supports it, ala RIAA and MPAA. Something has to change. We need to OWN what we buy again.
